Unfair 7-Day Gag Punishment

I recently started playing on the Net4All Zombie Escape server and have really been enjoying it so far. However, I was recently gagged for 7 days by an admin named MAKU, and I’d like to explain the situation.


While playing on the map ze_backrooms, I was suddenly kicked from the server (the message said it was for “taking too long”). When I rejoined, I was automatically placed on the zombie team, which was frustrating. In the heat of the moment, I wrote in chat: “why fucking kick me admin you dog.”


I understand that this message was inappropriate, and I accept that a punishment was justified. However, I believe a 7-day gag is excessive for what was said. Calling someone a “dog” doesn’t seem to warrant such a long punishment—especially when I’ve seen much harsher language, including Russian profanity, go unpunished in chat. It feels unfair that criticism toward an admin results in a harsher response than insults between players.


I’d appreciate it if you could review this case and consider reducing the punishment length.

P.S. Since this admin joined the server, he has been handing out punishments left, right, and center—even muting players for simply discussing politics. That’s not good service from someone who is supposed to make our experience better.


Additionally, I’m not the only player who has had issues with this admin. This shows a pattern of problematic behavior that negatively affects the community and the overall player experience.

First of all, read the rules before playing on the server. There is an English version available.
Secondly, direct insults towards staff members in the game's chat are not tolerated and will be treated accordingly. The best you can get right now is the punishment being lifted if you apologise to @nero0 , who was leading the map at that moment and was the admin that kicked you after you totally ignored what he was saying in voice chat. Plus the punishment duration will be increased thrice if such behaviour is seen from you again.
Or you can wait until the punishment expires. The choice is up to you.

Let me clarify where I’m coming from. I don’t understand Russian, and I’m new to Zombie Escape on CS2. I only started playing recently after getting a matchmaking cooldown. Because of that, the maps are still new to me, and yes, sometimes I take a bit longer to figure them out. The fact that most of the communication on the server is in Russian doesn’t help, which is why I usually mute voice chat. There’s not much point in listening to something I can’t understand, and it certainly wasn’t meant as disrespect toward anyone.


I’ve been playing Zombie Plague(mainly) and Zombie Escape since Counter-Strike 1.6, and I can confidently say this isn’t how situations like this were handled back then. It’s honestly disappointing to see admins having so much unchecked authority muting someone for a week, or banning for long periods, over something minor doesn’t help the community. If someone cheats, fair enough, ban them permanently. But getting muted for seven days just for calling someone a “dog” after being kicked? Seriously? That’s crazy.

Earlier, the same admin(nero) accused me of doorhugging right after I said he was a bad leader(Which I took back). At that time, I had no idea what doorhugging even meant until I read the rules afterward. Being accused of something I didn’t even understand, especially since I was right behind him on the frontline fighting zombies, not camping at doors. Being accused of something I didn’t do just proves that the admins on the server don’t know what they’re doing and think they’re invincible, like they own the world. On the other hand I deserve an apology.


If I had said something involving family or serious personal insults, I’d completely understand the punishment. But this was a short, frustrated reaction(Wouldn't you be too?) to being kicked mid-map. And it’s not about the apology itself I would have apologized for calling him a dog if he had just explained the situation in chat like a man. Instead, you all seem to be taking advantage of your privileges rather than using them responsibly, and I can promise you that this kind of behavior doesn’t look good for the server.


It’s not even about apologizing anymore; it’s about the principle and how situations like this are handled. Instead of muting me immediately, the admin could have simply said, “Hey, you took too long, so I had to kick you.” That would’ve been fair and respectful. But instead, he chose to mute me for a week. That kind of reaction doesn’t improve my experience as a new player and most certainly does not deserve an apology as my case was mishandled and I'm not guilty of being gagged for 7 whole days, remember you are a human being just like myself being an admin on a server doesn’t make you batman, please...

+++ And another thing you don’t get to tell me how to play the game. It’s pretty clear there won’t be any repercussions for any of you, but I’m posting this so the whole server can see just how much pride you’ve got. You walk around acting untouchable, like you’re above everyone else. Honestly, it just proves my point a bunch of little dogs puffing their chests, proud of themselves and thinking they’re celebrities on a game server.

No one accused you of anything, don't drag me into your problems, you were told not to enter the store on the map (I repeated this phrase in English).

I don't really care that you call me a bad leader, but please be kind enough to at least acknowledge that you hear me when I speak to you, instead of saying that someone is a bad leader because you don't understand Russian and you don't care.

And I will return to this phrase “bad leader” again. You said this phrase on the map ze_samosbor, where you had two leaders: 1 leader remained on defense (Normann), and the second leader was me (neroo). My task as leader was to show you the path you should take (because the map is designed so that you have random locations).

As for the punishment, I would have reduced the punishment.

I don’t think you actually understood anything I wrote. This has nothing to do with you being a bad leader. Yes, I did call you that, and I already apologized for it but that’s not the point. Like I said earlier, you’re all full of pride, and your reply proves it. You keep bringing up the “bad leader” comment over and over, which honestly shows it still got to you. You even remember which map it happened on, lol.

And don’t say that no one accused me of anything, because if you remember the map this happened on, then you should also remember calling me a doorhugger in response. Also, if you maybe took the time to translate my post or even read it properly, you’d know that I mute voice chat because I don’t understand Russian. There’s no point in listening when I can’t understand a single word ok? So don’t twist it like I was ignoring anyone on purpose.

My issue isn’t about that moment anymore — it’s about the punishment. I got gagged for one whole week. Do you seriously think that’s reasonable? Then on top of that, Maku says if this happens again, the punishment will be tripled. That’s just ridiculous. You shouldn’t be able to mute or ban players for however long you feel like it. There should be proper limits set by the server owner to prevent this kind of abuse. But of course, nothing will change, because admins like you are the ones with all the power and it shows.

It's just a simple term that's always been used for people who don't do anything and just run ahead. Proud? How did my pride show?

The fact that you didn't hear or listen to the leader is entirely your mistake, and you were punished for that mistake.

The fact that you turned off voice chat does not exempt you from responsibility, especially since it was possible to understand this after you were kicked out with a warning. In the future, if you don't know the map, it's better to stand aside rather than ruin a map that is already difficult for us.

And by the way, did you read the rules and not see that: 15 All types and terms of punishment remain at the discretion of the administrator? Maybe the term is long, but I already wrote what I think about it.

You want to talk about pride, but here you are still dragging this out when it could’ve been resolved hours ago. This is exactly what I mean you just don’t get it. I don’t even use the chat; there’s no point when it’s a Russian server and I do not speak it.


And again, it’s not about the punishment, like I’ve said countless times it’s about the principle.
A 7-day gag, and for what reason? Because “he called an admin a dog” and then what, “next time it’ll be 3 weeks”? Hah, well-deserved indeed. What a joke.

And just to be clear I'm not saying I don’t deserve to be gagged. I said something out of frustration, and I can accept a short punishment for that. But a whole week?

Kick was a warning + I said it in the voice chat (oh, sorry, I forgot to send you a warning letter to your home, but never mind, I'll do that next time).
